Alice Was Not The Only One in Wonderland
Recently I watched the movie Alice in Wonderland. My husband and I just had our Direct Star TV installed the week before last and I wanted to see what the Movies on Demand feature had to offer. I love Johnny Depp and in this movie, he once again did not disappoint. I really loved the whimsical theme of the movie. Everything was so neat looking and I think this had a lot to do with how the director Tim Burton does his films. It reminded me a bit of one of his other films Nightmare before Christmas . It must be the contrast shadows and light with a splash of color mixed in to make is not as depressing. I liked how the movie was more true to the book and was not the typical Alice in Wonderland that I grew up watching in cartoon form. There was more substance that an adult could enjoyably follow and not geared so much towards children like the cartoon was. I liked the Queen of Hearts. I think she was my favorite character in the whole movie although my husband would disagree with me. He really liked the hostile rabbit that threw teacups at people’s heads. He is funny like that though. We never agree on who we like when watching movies however we always agree on what movies we like.
